കോഴിക്കോട് ജില്ലയിലെ ചെക്യാട് വേവത്തിൽ വീണ്ടും തെരുവുനായ ആക്രമണം. സ്കൂൾ ബസ് കാത്തുനിന്നിരുന്ന മൂന്നാം ക്ലാസ് വിദ്യാർത്ഥി മുഹമ്മദ് സയാനു നേരെയാണ് ആക്രമണം. ഓടിരക്ഷപ്പെടാൻ ശ്രമിച്ച കുട്ടി വീണു കൈക്ക് പരിക്കേൽക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.

ഇത് ആദ്യമായല്ല ഈ പ്രദേശത്ത് ഇത്തരം സംഭവങ്ങൾ നടക്കുന്നത്. രണ്ട് ദിവസം മുമ്പ് ഇതേ സ്ഥലത്ത് മറ്റൊരു വിദ്യാർത്ഥിയെയും നായ ആക്രമിക്കാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചിരുന്നു. പൊതുസ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ കുട്ടികൾക്കും മുതിർന്നവർക്കും വേണ്ടത്ര സുരക്ഷയില്ല എന്നതാണ് ഇതിൽ നിന്ന് മനസ്സിലാക്കേണ്ടത്.

കേരളത്തിൽ തെരുവുനായ ആക്രമണങ്ങൾ ദിനംപ്രതി വർധിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയാണ്. കോഴിക്കോടിന് പുറമെ തിരുവനന്തപുരം, എറണാകുളം, കണ്ണൂർ ജില്ലകളിലും നിരന്തരം ഇത്തരം സംഭവങ്ങൾ റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്യപ്പെടുന്നു. തെരുവുനായകളുടെ നിയന്ത്രണത്തിനായി സർക്കാർ വിവിധ പദ്ധതികൾ ആവിഷ്കരിച്ചിട്ടും, കാര്യക്ഷമമായ നടപടികൾ ഇല്ലാത്തതിനാൽ പ്രശ്നം രൂക്ഷമായി തുടരുകയാണ്.

തെരുവുനായ പ്രശ്നം മാനവികതയും സുരക്ഷയും തമ്മിലുള്ള ഏകോപനം ആവശ്യപ്പെടുന്ന വിഷയമാണ്. നായകളെ ക്രൂരമായി വെട്ടിമാറ്റുക എന്നത് പരിഹാരമല്ല. പകരം, ന്യായമായ രീതിയിൽ ജനങ്ങളും അധികൃതരും ചേർന്ന് പരിഹാരങ്ങൾ കണ്ടെത്തണം. ജനങ്ങളുടെ സുരക്ഷയും തെരുവുനായകളുടെ ക്ഷേമവും ഒരുപോലെ സംരക്ഷിക്കുന്നതിന്റെ നിർണായക ഘടകങ്ങൾ വാക്സിനേഷനും ജനസംഖ്യാ നിയന്ത്രണവും ആണ്.

സമൂഹത്തിൽ ഇത്തരം സംഭവങ്ങൾ ആവർത്തിക്കാതിരിക്കാൻ ജനകീയ ഇടപെടലുകൾ ഉറപ്പാക്കണം. കുട്ടികൾക്കും മുതിർന്നവർക്കുമായി സുരക്ഷിതമായ പൊതുഇടങ്ങൾ സൃഷ്ടിക്കാനും, തെരുവുനായകളുടെ ജനസംഖ്യ നിയന്ത്രിക്കാൻ അധികൃതർ തൽസജ്ജരാകാനും അടിയന്തര നടപടി വേണം.

പാലക്കാട് നെന്മാറയിലെ ഇരട്ട കൊലപാതകം സമാധാന ഗ്രാമത്തിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ആഞ്ഞുതറച്ച ഒരു വെട്ടുപാടായി മാറിയിരിക്കുകയാണ്. പകയും തർക്കങ്ങളും ഒരു കുടുംബത്തിന്റെ ജീവിതവും സമൂഹത്തിന്റെ സമാധാനവും തകർത്ത ഭീകരതക്കു വീണ്ടും വേദിയായിരിക്കുന്നു.

പകക്കു വേണ്ടി അനാവശ്യമായി ഒഴുകുന്ന ചോര, നമ്മുടെ മനസ്സും അടുത്ത ജനതയുടെ ഭാവിയും ഇല്ലാണ്ടാക്കുന്നതാണ്.

ഇപ്പോൾ 20 സംഘം ചേർന്ന് പ്രതിയെ പിടികൂടാനായി അന്വേഷണം സജീവമാക്കിയിരിക്കുമ്പോഴും ചോദിക്കേണ്ടത്: “ഈ കൊലപാതകങ്ങൾക്ക് കാരണം എന്ത്?” വേറെ പകയിലേക്കുള്ള പടിയോ അതോ സമാധാനത്തിലേക്കുള്ള അവസരമോ?

അന്വേഷണവും കോടതിയും നീതി ഉറപ്പാക്കുമെന്നു കരുതാം. എന്നാൽ പകയുടെ പടച്ചിലൊടുവിലൊരുവിധം അവസാനിക്കണമെങ്കിൽ, സഹനവും സഹവർത്തിത്വവും രൂപപ്പെടണം.

ഈ സംഭവവും അതിന്റെ ആഘാതവും എല്ലാവർക്കും മനസ്സിലാക്കേണ്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.“അക്രമമില്ലായ്മയാണ് ഏറ്റവും വലിയ വിജയമാർഗം” എന്ന സന്ദേശം നമ്മുക്കെല്ലാവർക്കും മുന്നോട്ട് കൊണ്ടുപോകാം!
